The Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York’s (LRANY) Adam Morey wrote a letter to the editor published in the New York Post focused on the litigation-friendly laws such as the Scaffold Law waning business out of the state.
“While Gov. Cuomo has backed targeted incentive programs, the real culprit when it comes to upstate’s stagnant economy is the cost of doing business. Policies like the antiquated Scaffold Law waste millions that could be better spent elsewhere. Impacting both private and public works, no construction project in New York is safe from the costly Scaffold Law.”
